I believe art should be used as a means to build people up more than tear them down and artists should feel compelled to uplift other artists at least in as much as to not belittle one another. I can dislike your style while respecting your efforts, and you can do the same for me. Humility really should be a fundamental trait of an artist, no matter how good you are. But maybe that's just my opinion.
A superior mind doesn't elevate your standing, though it probably will debilitate your standards.
