Today I turned 21. Last night was so much fun, I adore my parents and friends.
John, Amanda, Dana, and my mother and father came into the city for dinner at Spice, then we saw the off-broadway production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. We had very good seats, the weather was gorgeous, and we dressed up to the nines.
(Thank you Ian, for pointing out the spelling mistake in the play's title. Haha)
After Dana, Amanda, and the rents left, Pete came into the city later that night, and Andrea took a ride in from Fordam. We pregamed here for a little bit. Well, they killed a disgusting bottle of rum, while my roommate Lauren made me a cosmo. She's darling.
We went bar hopping around 1am, it wasn't the highlight, but I met up with a bunch of friends from NYU and just enjoyed myself. John has most of the pictures from last night, but I took some before the show so I stuck a couple here. I wore a tiara out on the insistance of John and Andrea after we got back and changed out of the "formal" wear. Haha. Oh man. Out of control. I didn't black out, thankfully, and I remember everything.. Though my friends claim that means I didn't party hard enough, I think I did fine. The grin on my face never left, and I just enjoyed being around people and not having to worry about a fake id.
Thank you everyone who came and wished me a happy birthday last night and today. Amanda, John, Andrea, and Dana... I love you guys, and it was so good to have home here, in the city.
I also went to the Gay Pride Parade today. It was ridiculous. Hordes of people everywhere. Scantly clad..everything. Andrea and I left John and Pete there and headed home because it was just too hot and way too many people. It took over an hour to walk back to my apartment when it should only have taken about 20 min tops. We did have Hilary Clinton pass us in the parade, which was really fuckin' cool.
Anyway. I'm lazy, here are some pix:
