tappety tap

Highland dancing doesn't really make a tap sound, its more of a soft shuffling thud.
I had my first "lesson" on Sunday! I WISH I had let myself enjoy it more....even though I'm feeling MUCH better now that I'm working again, there's still a lot of internal mean self-talk happening. I was super critical of myself because my friend Kim and the other girl who came to practice both have a dance background...and I've never taken a lesson, though I've wanted to take dance lessons pretty much my whole life.
The pipe band is super nice and welcoming and I want to do this so badly, I've never had a social hobby before. I don't want to be the "bad" dancer that embarrasses them.
So I'm going to practice, practice, practice like crazy. My hips ache today, and my ankle felt a little tender...I can tell this is going to be crazy physical which is nice.

I can't post a video on here by mobile so I can't show you :( maybe my tablet will let me?
