Irish day

my friend Kim is of the Irish heritage so she gets crazy excited for St. P Day. like crazy. Excited. I love it. I've never done anything for this day before so I didn't expect that it would turn into a mini pub crawl....I figured we would go down to the beach for a Guinness and them I would amble home to make dinner.
well, we got there and it was standing room only for a while, but there was a ceilidh-style jam happening on stage, and we were surrounded by happy drunk people in funny hats, so no biggie. After being ignored and forgotten, I was the one who went in search of our illusive Guinness....I almost had to fight the server who was picking up from the bar, I let her grab the first two beer that were poured for me, after that it was game on! we drank our pints and clapped along to the music and cheered on the cutest little Irish dancers ever. Kim got the devilish sparkle in her eyes and ordered us both another pint, ignoring my protests. We were both happily tipsy by then, when she suggested we stop by the pub that's between both of our houses (its perfect, really) and when we got THERE, we had another pint each....and the the pipers came out. I love bagpipes. For realz. My Scottish blood really starts to jive when someone starts puffing into a squeaky bag! they were fabulous, and we were extra happy by this time, when someone from Kim's dance class spotted us. Yay new friends! Eileen is sassy, and super Irish (born there) and a total shit disturber. I told her that Kim thought one of the drummers was hot and Eileen leaned over, waggled her eyebrows and told us she knew the band and that she was following them to the next bar they were performing at.
So, third pub now....this time I had a Strongbow Cider....woo, and Eileen started buying us shots. She's a teacher...and she knows how to party! after the pipers finished their performance I made sure to get there attention, because I'm a happy, obnoxious drunk, but it worked and we partied and finished off the night with them. And when I say night, I was home by 11, us olds schedule properly. Um, I may....have been recruited into the band. As a dancer. They've been wanting some dancers to join then its a full crew....and, ahem...Kim, Eileen, and I are now a part of the crew!
A great night topped of by the wretched hangover for today....I've had plain, cold leftover rice to eat today, because not even water was happening. And now my stomach has ultimately given up on punishing me and decided it is HUNGRY.
Food is in order people, talk to you later!
