so, where was I?
in enough pain, for eyes to look pinched and voice to sound funny and to forget to breathe.
I started another ice session, Harlen headed to bed and I got a text from one of my Dr. bosses. I was only joking when I asked if she did housecalls...she got all serious and asked me about it and then said she was coming over at 10:30 at night! she lives down the street so NBD.
After checking my bones for obvious breaks, she told me I should get X-Rays in case it was a sneaky fracture, I said I would see how it felt in the morning and then go. Well, this lady doesn't take no for an answer, and said she was taking me to the ER right away. She gave me the human crutch treatment, which was hilarious since she is 4-5" shorter than I am. I got a wheelchair at the hospital and we basically were giggling, joking hooligans the entire time we were there, it was only 2 hours total, which was nice. X-Rays where done and.....its not broken but badly sprained, the Dr. felt that I had enough pain to give me a script for PERCOCETS!!! I tried not to raise my eyebrows too much. I'm not going to fill the script, no way am I taking that, I like pooping thank you, and if I can still focus enough to breathe until I'm used to the hurt, then I don't hurt enough for pain killers. I'm also not supposed to work for 10 days which isn't going to happen, I'm working on Monday, I'm going to wrap and be careful. Dr. K suggested I do contrast hydrotherapy instead, so that's what I've been doing today
After I got home last night it took me a few hours to go to sleep, but my ankle was much better this morning, I can put weight on it, and touch the area without wanting to scream.
Really this is the most exciting thing that's happened in months, LOL!,
I'm feeling ok about Starbucks, the people seem lovely and its a variety of ages working there, which is nice.
I guess I'm off my ride for a week or so, but soon enough, we will return!
