Everyone should watch kids movies now and then.
Harlen rented Paranormal Activity 2. It is fail. I am disappoint. I actually really liked the first one, but alas, this one had the overwhelming flavour of too much money. Low budget is sometimes so much better for a good startle (because I didn't find the first one necessarily scary, but I WAS startled on several occasions)
However, How To Train Your Dragon is pure win. What a sweet movie. The CG was beautiful. And the dragon(Toothless) was created by a genius. Basing a dragon off of a cat? awesome. I've seen lizards, horses, dogs used as inspiration but a cat? I've been calling Giro (icon) Dragon all night. Jay Baruchel as the voice of Hiccup was perfect. It slipped into a little silliness at the closing scene-but hey, it's a kids movie! We all need a little more fun sometimes. Screw reality. :)
