ART IS GOOD.
I went to see the Grandparents yesterday. My poor Grandpa had hids hip replaced last week, so he was in mega pain:( But I managed to make him laugh a bunch anyway, hurrah! My Grandma is pretty much a hoarder, lol (not as bad as the t.v. show!) And she has collected Hummel figurines since the seventies. Hummels are little tchotchky china figurines of children-they look very german(well they are made in Germany) and they are worth a fortune now. She has them everywhere! There are all of these heavy ,crazy china cabinets all over the living room, and they are STUFFED with these things. When I was small I could spend ages sitting in front of the cabinets, just looking at them all. So when I was leaving she pulled one out "the little goose girl" and gave it to me! I was sooo surprised, because I know they mean a lot to her! It was really sweet, even though I would normally NEVER have stuff like this in my house, "she" has a place of honour on one of my bookcases now:)
After visiting with the Grandfolks, my Aunt came by so I caught a ride with her to Linzy's art show. Linzy is my cousin's new wife, and she is an amazing artist. The turnout was awesome, and she had three bands/musicians come and play for everyone, it was a great atmosphere and a fun night:D.
