This morning, I woke up as the sun rose over diamond head and Waikiki. Our hotel is on the 37th floor of the Pacific Beach Hotel and overlooks the beautiful diamond head national park. I can now understand the sheer amazement the 80 million immigrants must have felt as they gazed upon the magnificence that is New York City. The city seems like man-made glacier, on the outside a constant frozen expanse of buildings but secretly (like all glaciers) the city is dynamic and ever-changing.

After flying across the pacific ocean 15 times, I am well aware how dangerous flying can be.
