We booked the first leg of what will be our lengthy journey. We are departing January 7th from Boston to Rekyavik and continuing January 12th from Rekyavik to Paris. From there we'll take a train to the
Loire valley to stay with family friends and then somehow on to
Estepona, Spain in early February and BEYOND.
But more exciting than that, yesterday we went on a chowder crawl with Karolyn and Bryan in Boston. At five pubs we sampled five chowders and a bisque. I could definitely have eaten more chowder but the pub kitchens all started closing around 9pm and we were starting to feel full up to the throat so we headed back to the hotel. There was definitely a sick, too-much-chowder feeling all over my body this morning. But it was a delicious and entertaining evening!
