There are several reasons:
1. So, huge relief, on Saturday we made an agreement with someone who wants to buy our beautiful Xterra. She was the first to respond to our newspaper ad, after it had been in the paper only two days. She was the first to see the car. As soon as she got back from the test drive she made an offer for MORE THAN WE OWE ON THE LOAN. It was so perfect.
Jessica is meeting her this morning to get a bank check from her and hand over the keys. It's really sad to be saying goodbye to the first car I ever owned. But it is truly a great burden lifted for us. I had said that we would not buy any plane tickets for our trip before the car was sold. So.... now we can throw the travel plans into high gear!
2. After that excitement we went to D'Angelos so I could get my favorite sandwich in the world. It took them forever to make and we thought we were going to miss our bus to Boston.
3. We caught the bus just in time. We tortured everyone on the bus with the smells of our delicious classic vegetable sub and (4.) watched the reunion special of Project Runway.
5. We arrived in Boston in record time and decided to walk to our destination. It was a ridiculously gorgeous day. I told lots of boring stories about living in Boston.
6. During our brief wait in line at the Avalon we met two adorable high school girls who had taken the train from Rhode Island. They had heard Imogen on the OC (cute) and thought they'd come check her out.
7. We were just going to leisurely enter the club and find a seat (if such a set up existed) but when we got in there the area in front of the stage was nearly empty and we ended up standing right in front of the piano.
8. (I know a lot of these "best things" are related to the show, but with good reason) Imogen Heap was INCREDIBLE. And her opening acts were even outstanding and joined her later on stage. She was insane looking in the best way, with her pink corseted, flared tulle-layered dress. Her hair was fluffed and piled on her head and she had a mohawk of feathers in various pink hues. Her voice was flawless and her dancing was contagious. Loved every second of it.
9. We caught a taxi back to South Station and pissed off passengers by cutting the bus line and entering the loading dock before boarding time. Our bus driver sang three songs to us on the drive north.
10. When we got back to Concord close to midnight we were famished and went to do a small grocery shop. Upon arriving home, well into Sunday morning, I made a five layer dip and we ate chips and dip until we were sick. Heather even got out of bed and shook her bad case of the spins to feast.
SUCH A GOOD DAY!!!!!
