It's only day TWO?! u__u
Soooo. Today was the second day of classes.
My first was American Lit at 12:45 and holy crap the prof is like the most intimidating person ever. He has this huge booming voice, which is only amplified by the room - we're in one of the lecture halls in the basement of the building, so it's designed for good acoustics. u__u He's also friends with a bunch of well-known authors and poets. He, like, met Robert Frost. If you miss four or five classes, you have to write an extra paper for him. If you miss six, he drops you and you fail the class. If you don't turn your papers in exactly at the start of class on the date they're due, you fail it...but you still have to turn it in. Jeez.
And yet somehow I think I might actually enjoy the class. *shrug* I don't know. The prof is very charismatic.
The other class I had today was called Literary Methods. We're...actually, I'm still not terribly clear exactly what the objective of the class is, but we're going to be doing a lot of intense essay-writing, and in the class itself basically just having discussions about stuff. I also have to do a dramatic reading of a poem. u__u Shite. I have killer stage fright, yo.
Oh well. That one I think I'm really going to enjoy - I really liked the prof. She seemed really interesting. Also, it's a smaller class than usual, and I always like that.
In other news, the spiffy FMA CD I ordered from Japan in, like, November finally came in. It's preeeeetty omg. Unfortunately I can't find good pictures of it online, or I'd link it, and I lack a scanner. But oooooh, 'tis awesome. It is called...um..."Hagaren Song File Best Compilation." XD There are two CDs, and the songs are all by the Japanese VAs. I <3 it.
And now I'm procrastinating. None of the work for those classes is due until next Tuesday and we have a three-day weekend coming up, so I'm trying to convice myself that of course I'm going to work on it this weekend. What is in reality probably going to happen is that I'll get roaring drunk at least one of the nights and spend the entire next day lying around, and then one other getting the room straightened up...because I still haven't unpacked, and all the textbooks I bought earlier this week are piled on and around my desk chair. Eh well.
