So hoozilla was looking through this slideshow of images from Fashion Week and we found these:
Which, between the fact that I'm an utter geek and my recent obsession with Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I immediately connected with Hermes.
Yes, this guy.
Which led me to think: I could totally make those.
Which again led me to think: I could make those for Halloween.
And now I have this idea in my head that I need to do this female-modern-Hermes-thing for Halloween.
Siiiighhhh.
hoozilla, kousuke_blade, daikenkai, and themegaloo convinced me that this was a good idea, BUT: problems remain.
SUCH AS:
• Where do I get pleather pants for cheap?
• What kind of top do I wear?
• What do I do with my hair - since I'll be wearing a helmet that I'll probably want to take off at some point?
• Shoud I wear my black-and-silver fake eyelashes?
• What should I make the snakes and wings for the caduceus staff I'll be carrying out of?
Just for your reference, flist: The rest of the costume will consist of boots basically exactly like those but with silver wings; fingerless gloves; a motorcycle helmet with another pair of silver wings on it; and black pleather pants. SO. Answer accordingly plzkthx.
