Ok... so I guess I started my journal w/o really introducing myself. My name is Sarah. Im a 23yr old grad. student living in Tempe Arizona. How I moved all the way here from Indiana is kinda a mystery. Well.. I closed my eyes and pointed to the map. A little crazy, but hey you only live once right. For the most part I am happy here. I really miss my family a lot and my two best friends. One is still in Indiana, and the other moved to New Jersey. Growing up really sucks sometimes.
I moved down here and got a job at a behavioral health facility working with crazy ass kids. Dont get me wrong though, I really do love my jobs. But some of the stories.... wow, they are just nuts!!! Anyway, I lived here for a year before I applied for grad school. And now Im trying to get my MA in counseling. Its going kinda slowly though cause I work full time and spend all my extra hours at the gym.
I started dating a guy when I moved down here. He was my boss at work (but now ive been promoted twice, so Im above him). I fell in love, blind... very blind. I found out 6 months later that he had 2 kids and had been married twice. Another couple months later I found out that he had a cocaine habit, and a couple more months after is when I found out that he has lots and lots of debt, doesnt pay child support, has had 2 cars re'poed, and is basically a loser. Why I put up with that for so long... who knows. Probably a combination of lack of family and friends to support me and good sex. So, thanksgiving I asked him to move out (cause he hadnt helped with rent in a few months and he owed me about $200.00). We were kinda off an on after that (why I was still putting up with him is really a mystery). So I finally ended things completely about two weeks ago, and I am MUCH MUCH happier!!! Yet he still keeps calling me, txt'n me, leaving cards and chocolate on my car, and showing up at my office at work. But I am doing my best to give him the cold shoulder and let him know that I am moving on and no longer going to put up with his sorry ass :-)
So I guess that is the short version of what has gotten me to where I am now. Ive been on one date since. The hottest boy in the gym asked me out, I had been stalking him with my eyes for about two months.. haha.. come to find out he is really boring. :-( Oh well. I'll keep lookin' or actually not really looking, cause I dont have time for boys right now.
