This is sad. I saw "Boat carrying Haitians capsizes, killing at least 20" and I thought, "But was 'the' Haitian on the boat?" TV desensitization anyone?

Saw midnight showing of "Spiderman 3." Incredibly disappointed, and again, mostly disappointed b/c cool plots and character development that were present in the first 2 were absent in this one. I'm beginning to hate trilogies. Bruce Campbell was the best part of the movie, other than the visual shinies and yes, even some of the gags were funny (like what happens to Peter Parker's appearance and attitude after the black stuff gets him). But if you can live with previously complex characters becoming nothing but gag devices and ways to tie up loose ends, the movie was all right. Not worth getting only 3 hours of sleep though. Le sigh.

Oh yeah, and the neverending ending was teh thbbbb. I didn't expect the movie to end with me going, "WTH was that?" Curse you Sam Raimi for obviously giving up on your movies!

However, saw previews for "Shrek the III," "Rush Hour 3," and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," and all of them looked pretty cool. Shiny.

Everything else, you must wait! Mwah-ha-ha!
