Back from Kansas. Oh gravy, been traveling since a little after 3 am CT.
Probably going to crash soon. This has been the craziest continental traveling week ever, aside from the time when we moved away from Vegas and went to the Ozarks to the lake house and then to Oklahoma, all by car.
It was really fun meeting second cousins and seeing all the lovely undulating corn stalks and the soybeans and the miles and miles of endless blue sky.
And visiting buried relatives. I find graveyards incredibly peaceful places.
I don't want to go on another plane for at least 2 weeks, though. I've been on five planes this weekend alone.
And-- getting to visit the Dallas/Fort Worth airport -- DFW -- yeah, that's right, whilst reading Mr. DFW's The Broom of the System in transit was just so over the top English major geekery. Along with the landing in Cleveland a couple days before and that novel is set in an alternate Cleveland, OH.
