Some days, I hate being a homeowner. This morning, I'm waiting (im)patiently for the AC repair people to call me back. Last night the little pump that pushes the water from the drip pan under the AC to a spot outside our house stopped working. We can manually remove the water with our carpet cleaner (ew), but once it fills up, a little switch gets flipped, and the AC goes off. I am hoping they can fix it today. Eric's on the road again, so I will be dropping everything as soon as they can call me with an appointment time. I wish this was someone else's problem!
Other than that, though, it was a pretty productive weekend. I replaced a panel on Annie's skirt yesterday and hemmed it up. It was interesting! We couldn't hem from the bottom because that's where all the decoration was, so we took off the waistband, put in the new panel, and replaced the waistband several inches lower. I hope it fits properly, now!
Then I was all in the cosplay mood, so I cut out all the armor pieces for Nightmare Moon and started gluing things together. It was at that point the AC went out, so it's all half done and will require another day or so of work. I also have to go get industrial strength velcro for the fastenings :) Oh, and the helmet is put together, but it needs to be bondo'd before it's painted. I don't even know what all that entails! I've got the tub of bondo, but I've never worked with it before. This should be interesting! Nightmare Moon is turning out to be more complicated than I'd expected! (But I'm having a ball!)
