I think I'd like sewing better if it ever went well for me.

So, I've been sewing on this dress for two weeks now. It's a real dress, not for cosplay, just a cute summer dress. It's my first fully lined dress and has been a challenge. I put the zipper in three times, and destroyed two needles on this dress, but it's finally done. Except that the top has about four inches of ease in it. (No pictures, because they would be inappropriate.) I just don't know why I'm shaped so weirdly! I should know better than to trust a pattern! Man, I really wanted to wear it on Saturday to the yarn tasting, too!

Ah well, back to the drawing board. I'll probably just take the zipper out (again) and pull in the back until it fits. That'll make it look a little weird, but I don't think I can fix it properly without starting over from scratch. I'll just make sure to adjust it for the *next* time I make it. (That time it *will* be for cosplay. I bought it because it was a cute dress pattern, but it will also work well for May-Rin's dress from Black Butler)
