Skullduggery Pleasant, by Derek Landy

So, I've been listening to the Skullduggery Pleasant series, and yesterday I ran out of audiobooks available on Overdrive at the library. A quick search of Amazon gave me a release date of next April for the fourth book, and I was like, NOOOOOOOO! Seriously, it's that good. I spent the entire book thinking that this was the end of a trilogy, and was convinced of that until the final chapter. Of course, had I done anything more than the barest of research, I would've realized that there are TWO more books, and the April release date is for the PAPERBACK version of the fourth book. And it's also available on Audible, and I haven't picked out my November books yet ^_^

Oh! And speaking of the audio version! I totally recommend you listen to these books! The narrator is excellent (except for the southern accent, but I'll forgive him that), and the chapters are broken up with little bits of jazz music. Ok, it's the same little bits throughout the three books that I've listened to, but It's lovely :)

So, tonight I'm going to pick up Dark Days and Catching Fire from Audible :) (Once again, I tried to download an .mp3 version of a book, and it failed miserably to play. Well, not miserably. It plays about halfway through and then starts skipping large swaths of the story. And the tech support is, like, "Let me get back to you on that." And, of course, they never do.) Only .wmv versions of books for me anymore!
