With a mind like mine, who needs secret codes and ciphers?

The secret project I've been working on in some form for over a month now heated up considerably over the weekend due to my finally blundering my way beyond (I hope!) a nasty self-referential knot. (Wait, every secret project needs a neat name. Hmmm... "Lagniappe" is a really neat word, ooh, and it even fits! Ha! OK, "Project Lagniappe" it is then.) How much has it heated up? Well, I actually managed to nail down (to my satisfaction--I don't think it would exactly stand up in criminal court) one or two of the, ahem, modified lines I'd been faced with after getting past (?) said nasty knot and so finally (FINALLY FINALLY FINAALLLLY) got a proper piece of the puzzle in place. And then this morning, while my brother was off having his wisdom teeth out x_X, I spiked and declared mate in bob moves. (Mindful of posterity, I checked the clock. It was about 11:10 AM. Quite possibly a very significant moment in human history!)

However, I've since had doubts. You see, I had dismissed two particular lines at the outset of this latest phase on the grounds that I had already shown them to be harmless, but that actually doesn't count for much because I'm dealing with modified forms of them here. So things are still iffy at this point. They had BETTER not get any worse than iffy >_<. If I go around and around and around for another week or few days and find myself up against that stupid knot again... *grrrrr*
