Poor Tink
She came up lame last Thursday, it was decided that she had a broken toe, and she's been restricted ever since. Cage rest as much as possible, in theory, but in practice she's had plenty of opportunity to do her usual scrabbling and bouncing around in the house. I've tried to keep her on a leash outside, though, so she can't go running around. It's her rear right leg, the same one that was broken before she was rescued. Mostly she's been keeping it raised, but she is a dog and things happen in the heat of the moment.
KJ got wise to another dog becoming available for adoption, another young border collie mix, and so we're going to trial him this weekend, to see if Tink and he get along. We expect they will. The question is whether his good habits will rub off on her, or her bad habits on him.
Remember when I talked about getting serious about my old, unfinished stuff? Well, I have a new thing going now. What can I say, I can only go where my creative energy is. I'll post it at WF and cross-post here, so watch out for that I guess.
