Writing and a new pastor

Jun 30, 2014 12:04

Our new UMC pastor had his first service yesterday. He and his wife seem pretty likable. I'm still happy over the church getting its renovations done in time for the previous pastor to see it before be left.

Broke 15,000 words on my Big Writing Project. Should have been here a long time ago, but you know how it is. The fun, obvious parts get written in a tear, then the next tier happens, then the last parts that you don't know what to do with just kinda sit there on your brain like a lump sits in your stomach. It's intended for another website, but I'll post it here too, just as backup and in case it would amuse anyone here. It wouldn't surprise me if it were over 20k by the time it's done.

I want to get back to some of my other projects too. The Python game has been on my mind lately. I actually got that one minimally functional, to where the pieces moved as they should and the program exited when the "game over" conditions were achieved. That tickled me. Really, that should be the super-complicated part of things, getting to where the pieces move properly and getting Pygame to work in Winpy or whatever. Should be relatively straightforward from here on, right? Hah. Anyway, I should also transcribe and finish my one essay and put that out in some form. Also the other ongoing thing needs to be finished, and I can just flow straight on into the next phase of that, which is already done.
