Case in point: the "flower girl" song

I listen to a lot of the sort of music that gets played on a rock 'n' roll station. I try to not get caught up in who plays what, to avoid favoring certain songs just because they were or weren't played by a certain group.

I've been relaxing that rule lately, out of idle curiosity. I see or hear a band name and think "Hmm, that's familiar, I wonder what they did?" and look it up.

I've noticed lately that I have a tendency to assume a given song was due to the Beatles. It doesn't matter if there's a British accent or not. If the vocalists are all male and it's not obviously some particular other group (Herman's Hermits are rather . . . obvious), the Beatles seem to be my default attribution.

Okay, that's boring, what else. KJ and I have been futzing around in Star Trek Online the last few days. It's fun enough at what it does. I was kind of expecting the graphics to be more of a drag on my system than they have been.
