My little brother did the matriculation exam, passed and is going to graduate from high school on Saturday. This is very cool. Dad is going to host the party because almost all of the guests will be from his side of the family. Mum felt it would've been strange to invite them to her place and I agree. Besides, dad hasn't had to host any parties like that for us, so it is only fair. It should be fun.

Had a nice weekend. On Friday there was celebrating of arkangeli's birthday and I went to Seurasaari with him and Jutta. hiljainen joined us a bit later. We sat on rocks, watched the sea, ate muffins Jutta had baked and drank a bottle of red wine.

Joe arrived on Saturday. Before she came I watched 5 episodes of Serial Experiments Lain with arkangeli. We've been planning to watch it since Christmas, I think, but didn't manage it until now. I'm happy we finally did, because the anime is cooler than I remembered. In the evening we went for a walk and the weather was beautiful. It had been raining and the nature smelled fresh. There was a bit of fog on a field that we walked by. Much prettiness all in all.

There was also walking on Sunday, had to take Maggie out before the concert. It was so warm that one could be outside in a T-shirt and still feel too hot in the sun. There was a lot of fluff from plants floating in the air and at some places the ground was completely white. Strangeness.

Placebo's concert was all right, but I couldn't quite get excited and I was a bit disappointed. The band played very well, but Brian Molko didn't sing the songs like they're supposed to go and it confused me. Couldn't sing along and my favourite songs sounded odd. There's always the problem of whether the singer should sing the songs exactly the same way as they are on the album or if they should try to improvise, but I think there was too much improvising this time. That is too bad. But fun was had anyway and the band apologized for not visiting Finland in 10 years. :P

It was raining really hard and thundering after the concert and of course none of us had umbrellas. We got quite wet on the way home. Bus driver had to change cars in the middle of the ride because he couldn't see anything out of the steamy windows. We survived, however, and got safely home.

This week is going to include watching of Twin Peaks (hopefully), the third Pirates movie and I have to get the Hepatitis A and B vaccinations for the trip to Japan. Also last taiji lesson inside, next week we will continue doing it outside in a couple of parks if the weather allows it.
