At least I thinks so.  A large solid white mass was left in the fridge the next day.  No other real residue to speak of (the bottom had some brown deposits stuck in it, but nothing else).  My internet instructions said the tallow would be on top and then some gelatinous goo under that.  No goo.  Is this a good sign or a bad sign?  It seems a ( Read more... )

Last night was cheese making at A&S.  It was a lot of fun (lots of participants) and easier than I expected.  It was a fresh cheese version, using vinegar to make the curds.  Goat tasted better than the cow milk, but I added some chives from the backyard when I got home and it tasted very nice this morning.  Must get the herbs planted so I can ( Read more... )

I am still debating how much to proceed with the whole Scholar's thing.  Seeing if we are moving or not is partly affecting me - will we be here long enough for me to finish, and the fact I had moved on mentally.  I was focused on pattern making and fit for new clothes for both of us, but the number of projects in different categories for Scholar's ( Read more... )

Slept in a yurt.  I can see the appeal - easy to put up, lots of space without poles in the way.  I missed the camp bed though.  No closure, so Avery decided to walkabout.  Only once though, and to Tina and Cam who were walking by.  I think he wants to add them to the ppack.
