Blue Lobster claw.

So, on Nov. 25 I lost the fight with a parmesan cheese and sliced open a knuckle on my finger. I couldn't straighten the finger fully. For the 1st time in my life I got stitches. 4 of them, a splint and an appointment for a plastic surgeon.

I still went to the event in Halifax. It was so good to be home. And talk about stepping right in where you left off - helped decorate the hall, retinue for Their Highnesses, and judging the A&S champions. Right to work! God, I miss them. Aside from Briana's pelicaning, I got weepy twice over the day. G&A looked fabulous. I miss being able to do A&S with the gang from home. Ruantallan is in a definite upswing.

Plastic surgeon appointment resulted in surgery. I had cut the extensor in my finger. Surgery was done through a local and done quickly. I now have a cast that I am less than thrilled about.

And I have it for the next month. Phooey. Blue lobster claw is not useful for a lot of fine work. not sure how I am going to do dishes yet. But I have a straight finger again, and shouldn't be any issue with the use of it later.

It hampers the looking for work thing. But I think I will not be looking for work come the new year. It looks like we are headed back to Victoria. No posting message yet, but the base commander called P, so very likely. Good position for P too. Very good for us financially, we get the house back. No more rent and mortgage. Not thrilled on the emotional/social front. I was hoping for Halifax mostly, and then Ottawa. I would have preferred to further the few friendships started here in Ealdormere than uprooting again, but what can you do. As it seems though, P may be home prior to August, we still have his leave next year (hopefully to meet in Europe), so the aggravation of trying to get to interviews for 5 months (or less) of work? No thank you. In Vic, if they ask, I can say I didn't work because we knew we were going to move - waited until I was stable. Hopefully interviewers will like that.

I have more thought, but this is all the blue lobster claw can handle for now.

moving, generalities, health (or lack thereof)
