(no subject)
Hmmm, my last journal was fairly random. Let's say I was tired and it was late for me. Now, I'll write a sane journal entry.
So, I finished Void yesterday. And she replied today. :D I love her review replies, she even told me all the symbolism of the peach tree and stuff (it was nothing like Their Eyes Were Watching God). I have also come to the conclusion that my drawing muses tagged along with themusecalliope when she left. All my drawings are now slanted and uneven. And being the perfectionist I am, I just can't leave my drawings alone. . . So I'm stuck doing three quarter views and side views until I trace enough frontal views to get it back under my fingers.
I borrowed a contra alto clarinet from my school. The sucker's almost as tall as I am, and it's a pain to find a chair the perfect height to play it on. It's a pain to carry around as well; the weight is unbalanced and the handle doesn't allow for a good grip. And then, some of the keys are held together by paper clips and the right hand pinky key for low F sticks and doesn't unstick itself. And the mouthpiece was. . .mildewy. Ewww. I think it was a bad idea to play on it before washing it, because now my throat's been weird. It took much, much washing to get rid of the majority of crusty yellow stuff and I still haven't gotten rid of the burnt rubber smell. Ewwww. But I'll stick with the contra alto over summer. If I stop Bflat clarinet, my band teacher will be forced to promote the Mafia into the top band class. Mwahahaha. And then the Mafia will provide year long entertainment along with the percussionsts. Mwaahaha.
And then the muses of writing seem to have left me as well. Well, they can go ahead and do that, I have my alien space duck. And if I ever win some kind of award I will thank King Elvis and the alien space ducks just to be perfectly random. And in attempts to write that ever elusive Fire Emblem 8 fic I've been trying to write, I'm re-reading Reviving Ophelia and got the Romance of Risk. I don't like the font in the latter book. It gets all blurry with contacts.
And now I go on another fanfic craze. Unless anyone has good book recommendations...?
