Called in to use a day off. Our kitchen sink clogged up last night and we couldn't get it undone. So! A visit from the Roto-rooter(r) guy later, our pipes are free-flowing again. And we learned drano in pvc causes the pipes to get brittle and shatter. ... Oh, and 2-inch pipes in most construction isn't big enough for flushing garbage disposal stuff away. No more dispose-all for us!
I finally got mother's day cards in the mail. ... Did you remember to get one for *your* mom? It's Sunday, ya' know.
Okay, my mess at work is reasonably deal-with-able. At our follow-up training session Tuesday, I figured out that we're an office of non-confronters (mostly) and it isn't easy draggin' information out of folks like that. But it is possible.
Hubby, on the other hand, is dealing with a really icky supervisor who prefers to grant favors to the inmates and belittle the corrections officers in front of groups. With any luck, he'll be relieved of his position soon. In the meantime, Husband is seeing a therapist because he's been having dreams of hurting or killing this fool. Worst of all, last night the dreams changed from physically fighting this guy to being a little kid getting beaten up by the guy. ... Guess the therapist's exercise to "become a little kid again" and seek comfort where he found it as a child isn't gonna' work. But that's just my non-professional guess.
I read the Monday post by edicius-terces ... yes, Zephy, humans are nasty monkeys with horrible violent streaks, but I have to believe there are some good ones out there, too. Beside, think of the expressions on the gay-bashers' faces when they get to their-concept-of-heaven and find the gay kid playing pinochle with the guy in charge. *That'll* be worth the price of admission!
