Harry Potter History
Tieria's own background is a mystery to him. Having grown up in an orphanage, he remembers very little of his mother and doesn't know his father. She never spoke of his father and only told him a little of her family history before her death when he was five, leaving him to believe he was a half-blooded wizard. Tieria grew up bitter at his situation, and became very hard towards others, keeping them at a distance. What was the point of making friends if they were only going to leave like his father or die like his mother?
Tieria was glad to leave the orphanage when he got his letter to Hogwarts, because it meant he could try to find more information on his family and history. However, during his time as a student, Tieria eventually found himself becoming friends with other students, despite his best internal efforts not to. He found he cared about others and that was a refreshing surprise, even to him. Having suffered such losses, caring about anyone was something he thought would never happen again.
As a student, he worked hard towards his desire to eventually become a Prefect and has applied for it every time he could, and he also allows himself to enjoy an occasional broom flight when he's not concentrating entirely on his school work. The possibility of joining Quidditch is something he has considered, but has not actually attempted just yet. Perhaps... he might... when he feels his grades are satisfactory.
He has also made it his personal mission to find out more about himself. Since being in school, he has discovered more about his mother's family, but nothing about who his father might be. He feels there might be something more in the forbidden section of the library and has made it a personal goal to find out what books are in there so he can get to them in other ways if not actually going in there.
