Hey guys!
This weekend has been so productive. This morning I did the 5km race for life for breast cancer in hyde park there was a beautiful energy there today. It even rained for a little while but everyone kept up the high spirits. I'll definitely be doing it again next year!
And yesterday I went to a rooftop party at the south bank centre. It was AWESOME! Ran by an organisation called
Ctrl.Alt.Shift. I've stuck with them for a while now and the work they do is so inspiring I try to get involved wherever i can. There are so many creative outlets out there in the world to raise awareness and fight back for whatever you believe in. Ignorance may be bliss but sometime you have no idea what that ignorance is costing you. The night was hosted by Riz Ahmed, who was down to earth and pretty hilarious, basically it was artists performing for free (kudos) and in between every one, a speaker from a different movement had a ten minute space to talk. The highlights I think were performances by Jamie Woon, Japanese group Natchu, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, and the speakers - Noel Clarke (Kidulthood) Peter Kosminsky (director/actor/producer) and Love Music Hate Racism. Very positive night and so good to see so much of the london youth going out there and getting involved!
Harry Potter has been pushed back till Next week, I've heard some mixed reviews what did you guys think? I think I'm gonna go make some icons and work on some fic!
