She knew I would do something, and coming from such a shitty background, but she was always positive, always supportive. It upsets me that she's left the school now, because I can't go into the primary building to see her in my last year. Of all the teachers I wanted to have see me finish U6th, it would have been her, because without her, I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't have learnt the value of an education, and I'd be rotting my brain cells away in Lagan College.

They were outnumbered, but pretty much on a suicide mission, because Haig and those twats decided they didn't need backup. And they held out for so long. Way longer than expected. That single battle is why most other countries are terrified of the Ulster Divisions.
