A warning

There's an issue that I think people should be aware of. It's only right that I combat it in every form that I can.

This issue is an attention whore, a special snowflake that won't do what makes sense and instead throws a fit over the smallest things. Things really are straightfoward, but it makes them all complicated. It's a headache and a half, and it doesn't know when to stop. This is stupidity in every form of the word. And really, no one should put up with behavior like this.

I speak, of course, of McAfee.

Disable it and it re-enables itself. Uninstall it and it reinstalls. Uninstall in safe mode and it comes back. Try an official McAfee utility meant to remove McAfee and not only does it not work, the page it's from is now blocked. My network has declared that the page has certificate errors. Right.

This is where the attack will come from. As soon as McAfee achieves a self-sustaining form that can fight, we're doomed. After all, if there are no users, there can be no viruses, so it might as well take out the source of all threats. It will attempt to wipe out humanity.

So act now. If you have McAfee, abandon ship. Flee for the lives of your possible unborn great-grandchildren, who otherwise will live their lives in terror and deprivation.

This PSA brought to you by the letter Utter Frustration and the number Teldrassil.
