I had a Daydream, it was really really long.

I don't remember my entire daydream but it was really scary (while at the same time only being dramatic as opposed to a nightmare)

Somehow my house was by a lake and in that lake a premeditated murder took place, the entire dream sounds strange if you envision my house, but perhaps it’s easier if you just think of it as the house I'm in.

The back porch of the house led to a lake (not unlike Laguna lake), and the front leads to downtown. I woke up (in my dream) at about midnight to a very clear moonlit night and looked out my window to see a tan two door Volvo being pushed into the lake. I didn’t see the man clearly but when it was over he drove away in a completely black car. I went back to sleep (in my dream) and when I woke up the next morning the whole lake area was swarmed with police. I went outside (fully dressed- as everyone is when they just get up) and started talking to them, but I soon realized no one was listening. They were somehow much more official investigators than normal police and there was even a big white detox van with a radio-active symbol on the side of it.

None of the people listened to me until I described the car to them before they pulled it out of the water. I told them what I had seen the night before and they all jumped to action! All of a sudden they told me it was none of my business and shoved me toward the house; they collected the car and the dead woman inside it and left in no less than ten minutes.

That is when things got strange, a woman lived with us because her baby had recently died. She lived with us along with Humphrie (Datto’s dog) who she believed contained the soul of her recently deceased daughter (Tessa the two year old-for those of you that know her). She and I had a conversation in the kitchen about why the first level of the house was flooded with a foot of water and she dismissed it as normal. I called my mom at work to check in with her and for reasons unknown my dad was also my mom but at the same time himself. I talked to him after the call in the TV room where he was watching football (he/she stays there for the duration of my dream)

I take a nap in my dream and in it I go through old dream memories that I haven’t thought of in a long time. I start to remember something I had seen that wasn't unlike what I had seen the night before. Maybe it wasn't a dream if what I saw last night wasn't either. When I woke up from my nap, I had almost convinced myself that I really had overheard a government contractor planning the best way to blow up the lake and surrounding 10,000 mile radius but dismissed it as weird dream-thoughts.

I got up from my nap and decided to commit suicide; I gave myself a lot of time to think about it. I took the big butcher knife from my kitchen and sharpened it, then left via the front door intending to loop around the neighborhood to the other side of Laguna Lake. I was nearly three blocks from my house when I realized that there were an undue number of people packing bags into their cars. It was around 4:30 and yet already overcast and dusky. I walked up to a neighbor family I knew (but they only spoke Spanish) so their daughter explained to me that the psychic of the family had recently foreseen that there was a government conspiracy to bomb the area that night.

This jarred my memory back to my suppressed memories of the government conspiracy and rather than commit suicide I decided to get the fuck out of town. I threw my knife away, but then my Mexican friend looked at me funny and I quickly got it back saying "Might need this after all" and then I headed home.

The sky had continued to get darker and darker as I headed home, the streetlamps were now misty undefined lights. I walked by the train station to see people getting on a train in greater number than I had ever seen before. (Which seemed odd because if my life depended on it, trusting Amtrak to be on time to safety seems like a crapshoot) As I got home my mom pulled up in the Honda and I asked her "how much gas do you have?" and as soon as she replied that she had just filled the tank I said "I'll be right back, keep the car running it’s an emergency!"

I ran into the house and saw Lea and told her to go out to the car for allergy clinic because otherwise mom would get mad. When I reached the kitchen the woman was gone but when I continued to look for her I found that she was lying dead on the furthest end of the wrap-around porch in the back. I ran inside and grabbed the emergency kit (a big black duffle bag) I called Abby and Humphrie but Humphrie wouldn't come so I hooked both of them to leashes and dragged Humprhie outside with Abby. I shoved them in the back of the car (which somehow had room for everyone) and dashed back inside with the duffle bag and my knife to get my dad.

He and I then proceeded to have the longest five minute dream argument of my life. I don’t remember what exactly was said but it ended up that he'd rather stay and watch football. Goodbye dad. (who looked like my mom) I ran out to the car right as the last of the sunlight really faded from the sky and I jumped into the car. I woke up right as I saw people running from the train station to get into cars (presumably because the government had shut down the trains).

Weirdest dream ever? I think not. I had a weirder one two nights ago but I already told James about it, lets just say it was world trade center, meets congress/bush and his cabin ate mixed with the KKK, meets a large number of naked black people, meets a pigsty, meets me Kate and Datto naked within a big apocalyptic setting.

If you actually read that you get a lifetime supply of gold stars from me.

In retrospect my dream self must have been a pretty messed-up version of me. I was suicidal, and suppressing my psychic abilities. Psychic power being presumably normal considering the conversation with my neighbor about the "family psychic" and the large amount of people seemingly aware of impending doom.
