Artist Notes: Thank you rosek and shinharusame for keeping me sane while this illustration grew and grew and grew. I have had this image in my head for a few years now, and the merlinreversebb was the perfect opportunity to work on it.
So many thank yous to my amazing author cat_77 for her lovely, lovely story. I laughed, I ached, I cheered... I was basically a ball of warmth and fuzzies by the time I finished her story. She breathed love and life to this illustration with her words and her talent, and I can't thank her enough for it.

Merlin laughed as they dodged around Elyan and Elena, checked in on Gwen and Lance, and tried their damnedest to avoid the cushions Gwaine was “helping” Perce with by batting him about the head with them.
Their goal was to make it to the stairway that led to the upper level to see what still needed to be done there, but this goal was hampered when someone new decided to join in the fun, a shrill cry of, “Aithusa!” their only warning before a mass of fur darted between Arthur’s legs and nearly caused them both to go crashing to the floor had it not been for the combined reflexes of Perce and Gwaine.
