Take a moment to look at this photo. From left to right, the people are Michael, Yuval and Hila Fisher. They're a family -- Yuval is their son. Two months ago, Hila gave birth to a brand new babygirl. A week ago, Michael got promoted. They're both police officers, very friendly and normative. They're very pretty, all three of them.
Less than 24 hours ago, all four were found dead in their home in Hod-HaSharon {where my uncle, aunt and cousins live}. All four were shot. The baby was found in the parents' bed. The boy was found next to his father, and the mother was sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall.
Take a good look at this photo, and I'll tell you that the man is suspected to have killed his entire family and then committed suicide with his own personal gun.
Hebrew resource I'm not sure why I'm posting this, really. Other than the fact that the woman is absolutely stunning, and that look so happy in the photo. Maybe it's because this is two more children added to the deathtoll of the past couple of months. I think this raises the number to 5, 6, or even 7. I've lost count. Maybe it's because this past week has seen the most barbaric crimes in the family, and too many found their death by those they care about, one way or another.
I suppose the point of this post is to look this in the eyes and be able to say I See You. To allow myself to be momentarily shocked and incredibly saddened. To share some of the pain and be able to move on.
By this time next week I will have moved to Jerusalem, to my dorm and to uni. A terrorist stabbed an elder person to death this morning in Jerusalem.
Like I said before, this has been one of the suckiest weeks nationally I can remember in my 20 {and half} years of life.
