So Pluto is no longer a planet, and I have no idea why. I've been discussing it with people on
useless_facts here, but but but!
Anyway, my father just forwarded me his opinion on disqualifying Pluto when he was asked to state it. I fixed some tenses and punctuation and formatting though, with his permission:
---
"First of all Leah Goldberg predicted this could happen with "Where is Pluto?"[1]
It looks they have started with the outer planets; I hope it will take a while before Earth gets disqualified. Then, the question which is revolving around what will lose its meaning and Copernicus will have had burned in vain.
This is postmodernism at its best. Change the meaning of words and the reality will follow. Vive Derida[2].
Yossi"

[1]: Leah Goldberg is a famous Israeli writer; "Where Is Pluto?" is a children's book about a dog named Pluto who somehow loses his way and does fantastic things in the meantime.
[2] I assume he means 'Derrida'; 'Jacques Derrida: Algerian born French philosopher, leader of the Deconstructionist movement which advocates subjective interpretation of literary texts' -- my Babylon.
