Snowed in. Really, really snowed in.

To those I owe packages to: I'm so sorry, I can't get them mailed yet. The post office is not taking stuff to be mailed. They will give you your mail if you go in, but they won't ring you up. There's no tellers.

We had sixteen-ish inches of snow dropped on us, so of course the City of Tulsa, always prone to shit itself at the slightest sign of weather, grinds to a screaming halt. Like, officially. No city offices open, no schools, no newspapers. Mail service is down, trash pickup is nonexistent. Streets are haphazardly plowed, if that, and it's been done nonsensically. Half of an artery street will be plowed, but not the other half, as if having a one-lane street helps anyone. Today during the day the meltwater ran down into some of these half-plowed streets and formed a river running nearly to vehicles' baseboards, because the sewer drainage grates are choked with snow. Tonight, I expect all that shit will freeze fucking solid. I have two doctors' appointments that I REALLY need to go to on Monday and Tuesday, and I really don't think I will get to them. And I'm really upset about that.

The streets in neighborhoods are nothing but ice and snow, and the only plowing or shoveling that's been done there has been done by residents. It's been nearly a week since I got mail.

We have plenty of food, at least we were that prepared, and the power is still on, so really, we're fine, we're just stuck here.

My quest for order in chaos continues. The studio slowly yields to me.

I spent yesterday evening prepping gift boxes for my shiny jewel-y ornamenty things so that I don't have to do it again for, like, a long, long time. This way I can finish an ornament, photograph it, and just label and box it up right then, no waiting. Then I designated a place for stuff that is already listed, stuff that is ready to be listed, stuff that needs to be photographed, etc., so that it doesn't get mixed up.

I spent hours today fixing a series of mistakes I made in my Etsy listings that could have been prevented if I'd already done all this. Literally, I have been at it since three, and it is now after ten. I finally have it ironed out. Thank the gods nobody bought anything from one of the affected listings. It's ALL FIXED now, though, so you could go buy anything there and I would actually be able to find it.

I just won't be able to mail it to you until, apparently, June!
