Drive-By Update
Cat-related news: The bloodwork they ran on Tazendra today is basically to determine how bad the damage is, now that we know there is damage. Where we go from here depends on what they tell me when I get the results back tomorrow. I'm thinking ultrasound is the logical next step. She appears to be perfectly comfortable, and is taking all the vet trips really well. She is acting completely normal, except for being very thirsty and sending me off for cool refrigerator water every couple of hours. She's also being extra cuddly, which is nice, if a bit over-warm. I am typing around her even now, and her tail is in my face.
Our new vet is a really wonderful guy. I just want to throw that out there. I like him immensely. He's been caring for farrandy's dogs for something like 20 years, so he came well-recommended. He's one of those scary-competent no-bullshit guys, but he has what a lot of no-bullshit folks don't have: bedside manner. He's very gentle and very kind and very understanding. And his clinic is so close. A couple miles, tops. I can't tell you what a difference that makes when transporting an unhappy kitty.
Anyway.
My brain RAM has been really, really occupied with this, so I'm forgetting things left and right and having a hard time concentrating. I'm not freaking out or anything -- I am saving that up for when I need it -- but I'm really distracted. I probably can't count to twenty right now.
Nevertheless! There will be a huge Morningstar Hall Etsy update on Friday, with a pretty heavy load of mini pendants. I am making them in silver-tone wire now, too. They look really, really nice.
I am going to hit a point here where I need to start promoting my wares elsewhere. If anyone has any ideas, sing out. I'm mostly thinking of keeping it to LJ right now, so I'm after communities that welcome stuff like this.
