Wolverine Skull

I don't think I've posted these. I think they just made it onto Flickr, but I got busy moving and forgot to share. My bad. I'm still working on the Etsy update, but in the meantime, here, have some bones.

This is the skull of a good-sized adult male wolverine.

[obv joke]

That cannot be a real male Wolverine. It is not laced with adamantium.

Thankew! Tip your waitress.

I want a metallic wolverine skull. I seriously do. If I get another, I may damn well silver-leaf the bastard.

And if you do, you absolutely MUST name him Logan.

It is a shame you are not closer to me, in terms of geography. My husband is a genius at preparing moulds from objects and from that it could be quite feasible to create a metal skull.

He showed me one of his pieces of work once - a layered shelllike structure with many different layers. 6 years on I am STILL trying to figure out how he did it...

That sounds so seriously badass.

It's possible to prepare casts from skulls; I've seen it done. I don't know enough about metal casting to know how the process would have to be changed.

I know there's a way to apply a metallic coating to skulls, like bronzing baby shoes. Electroplating basically. I would love to be able to do that in my garage.
