Kali is a friend of mine has
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and it's disabled her. There's no cure, so it's something she's going to have to live with. Believe me when I say a service dog would make a world of difference.
The trouble is, service dogs cost. Not just the dog, but the cost of housing and feeding human and pet during training, the cost of training field trips, cost of equipment, and all the usual expenses that go into setting yourself up with a new pet.
So, we need to raise the money by May 10th to get Kali set up with Hudson, so that she can live a better life. She's been approved to bring him home, but like a lot of us, she doesn't have that much money just lying around, and what she had saved recently went into fixing her car, which (in the way of cars) chose the worst possible moment to pitch a hissy-cow and die. So, that kind of set her back a lot.
I don't want to see her not get her training and her dog. Please, if you can help out, even five bucks, that would be great. And if you can't, if you could just pass the word on and ask your friends to pass it on, I would be really indebted to you. This is one of those things where, if we all work together, we can make a big difference in the life of someone who really fucking needs to catch a break.
Again, we have until May 10th. There's waiting lists for service dogs, and Hudson can't wait forever.
