Short version, they've been seen by a vet and will be okay, but there is still an outstanding vet bill that needs to be paid. So, over to
celticmistress for the details. Also, a reader wants to provide incentive for people to donate, and thus makes an offer it's hard to refuse. Read on. The bit with naked bottoms is at the end. Sorry, had to rescind that.
From this entry: Western Union and the wal-mart reload packs seem to be the most immediate way to get the money to me for the Vet. I called and got them an appointment for Monday which is the soonest appointment the Vet Office had. That gives me time to pick up any money you guys can get to me and have it for when they go in!
After the appointment I will let you all know what was said about their health and give an update. I'll even remember not to lock the post or comments!!
Also I'll give you all a total of the monies collected and let you know how it was spent on the kittens as well. Any extra money will either be donated to the Vet for future kitten help or will be held in reserve to neuter and spay the kittens when they get to be old enough. I leave that choice up to you all.
For anyone who would like to Western Union the funds, You need my name and the city I'm in. ((Amanda Magee, Perry, MI)) And then I need an email from you with your name and the city you're in ((they require that when I pick it up)) You can send the email to celticmistress@gmail.com
If you want to put it on a wal-mart card reload pack, then after you've purchased the pack I need the codes at the bottom of the receipt to be emailed to me. ((Usually a huge font and in bold))
And about the vet visit: EDIT: The kittens visit cost more than I had, but the nice vet said I could bring the rest too him. I felt a bit like a schmuck for not having the cash on me, but the vet is a good guy and knows his trade. He also gave me a container of special dry kitten kibble which the babies seem to like and he also gave me a coupon for it as well so I can buy more later.
As for their health, Yeah. Not so good, but not horrible either.
The Grey poop apparently means there are intestinal parasites so they both got wormed.
They have ear mites so I have drops to put into their ears twice daily.
They have respiratory infections so I have antibiotics to give them twice a day.
And Apparently the eye thing is treatable too so they both have antibiotic goop to go into their eyes three times a day.
Also, Vet thinks Grace does have a UTI, but the antibiotics for the respiratory stuff should also help her with that. Yaay double use antibiotics!!
I am going to be a busy gal.
And a HUGE Thank You to the Lady who did send me money for the babies. They would say thank you as well but they are nursing their pride from the thermometer they got stuck in their bums!
Sorry re: the last point. Don't make offers you can't back up because you aren't over 18. I assume most people reading me are over that, and that most people aren't going to make an offer they know could get their asses busted, so that's totally my bad. Foot in mouth.
Thank you all so much. I really don't think they would have made it without help. That's all very bad stuff. Their little systems were just not going to get any relief from any quarter without help.
