Thank you. I have seen Komet a couple of times since she passed away--and twice I have heard her purring near me in the night. That has been comforting.
My "son" (the cat that lived with me for nearly 20 years and went through every horror imaginable with me) visited me several times after his passing. I woke up one night feeling the distinct thup-thup-thup of a cat scratching. I could also feel the weight and warmth of his body laying in the spot between my knees that he favored for sleeping. His head was always in the crease of one knee--the rear end of him nestled in the other.
I know I was awake. I lay there feeling his actual physical presence for several moments before just *having* to look. Then, of course, he was gone. :(
I still miss him as well.
I love my little fur people. I miss them all.
I wish they could all stay with me for my whole life--but they were made with shorter and brighter candle flames....
They are such bundles of love--the purr of a cat is the most soothing, loving thing here is.
I could easily become the crazy cat lady with 48 kitties in my bed every night.
