Potentially Very Very Cheap Art for a Very Cool Cause
This is at the very last minute, but I want to make you aware of a Very Cool Thing.
shadesong has a brilliant and talented daughter who wants to go to the Awesomest Camp Ever.
No, seriously. Did YOUR summer camp offer classes in stop-motion animation, pillaging for plunder, cryptozoology, Norse myth puppet theater, advanced pond scum analysis, and how to be a medieval despot?
I thought not.
The long and short of it is that they are just a hair short of their goal, and I really really really want to see Elayna go to Explo.
So does shadesong, naturally, so she's put together a raffle. You can buy tickets for items like jewelry by sihaya09, kythryne, and never1eighty, custom writing from cbpotts, lightcastle, samhenderson, and shadesong herself, and lots and lots of other goodies.
I have contributed art, too.
The following ink paintings are up for raffle:
These are original ink paintings, not prints. I have painted others like them, but these are real ink on real parchment, and those are scans of the actual paintings you will receive.
Each ink drawing is 4.5 x 6.5, and has been matted in black to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. They are lightly tacked on with surgical tape, so that they can be removed from the mats if desired and put in a different setting. The paper is heavy gold parchment stock. The actual pieces don't have the watermark, obviously, and I will sign and personalize them on request.
I am also offering a custom animal-head drawing in the same style as the above.
You can see other examples of my tribal animal style here. If you request an animal I've already done, I will do it again, and do it differently (or you could always just request one exactly like one you've already seen; totally up to you).
Again, you could win a custom piece by me for a ridiculously low sum.
Tickets are cheap: $1.00 for 1 ticket, $10.00 for 11 tickets, and $20.00 for 25 tickets, which can be spread among all the goodies as you wish.
Bidding closes tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. EST, with winners announced by 5 that same day.
