Hey! EBay Questions!

I know you guys have, collectively, way more experience selling on eBay than I do, and I'm not finding straight answers to the following questions in eBay's so-simple-it's-retarded FAQ section.

Therefore, I pick your brains.

1) Do they allow pictures not hosted on eBay servers to be displayed in auctions? In other words, can I use HTML to tag in ( Read more... )

The only one I can answer for certain is 1: yes, they allow you to use non-ebay pic hosting.

You can use image tags in HTML served from other domains.

I'd never just put a line of text that wasn't a link in auctions with a URL in it.

I have, however, put a main link to a business -- the fetish business I managed -- in the auction, and never got in trouble for it.

In trying to list auctions this past weekend, I found that using image tags to other sites in the body of the listing didn't work. I don't know if it was a weird bug just for me, but I couldn't ever get the pictures to display so I had to use their photo service. It really pissed me off.

Conversely, that's never been a problem for me, but the pictures on my image-heavy auctions are usually at Photobucket.
