You are all aware by now that I have cats.
I humiliate one of them, Tazendra (also called The Mocus) on a regular basis. Last year she was horrified to undergo the Torture of the Pumpkin Suit. This year we broke the suit out again. Just because I think it's evil to dress up your pets doesn't mean I won't do it. I'm evil, people. What's the sense in having a cat if you don't occasionally torment it?
Now, before I show you what I did, I want to make sure you have a good idea of what these cats really look like when they aren't dressed like gourds. Tazendra is actually a beautiful cat. Fish is an incredibly poised and graceful animal with a natural sense of propriety that puts mine to shame.
So, here is a before picture, snapped only hours before the amazing transmogrification took place:
As you can see, they were just begging to be humiliated.
Yes, Fish is a regular runway model. She took right to the costume.
You can tell.
She will even run after her ball. Who says putting cats in costumes is cruel?
Look how happy she is.
The costume in no way diminishes her urge to kill.
Fritz dies as the Great Pumpkin rends him to shreds.
Sargon is so proud of her.
She does tire of playing the diva, though, and a hellish gleam lights her eye as she passes the Pumpkin Curse on to the next cat.
"My, that color is fetching on you!"
Dazed, the stinky black and orange gourd peers blearily about, and walks all of two steps before collapsing.
Daddy takes pity on her and holds her while we both mock her mercilessly.
If I'm not booked for the ride already, surely staging this picture will get me a one-way ticket to the nether realms. If looks could kill, I'd be dying a particularly disgusting death right now.
However, as said furry goblin is lying in my lap and purring even as I type this, I rather suspect I am forgiven.
