I'm spamming you with my efforts at photography.
I took these on the first really beautiful day of autumn last week, when it was actually possible to go outside without overheating. Our roses were blooming, in spite of being left alone all summer. Simply gorgeous. So I took some pictures, only to be intterupted by an unexpected guest.
I think this picture is simply beautiful.
This one is my favorite, though. If you look, it's got roses from every stage from bud to blossom to blowing bloom to shriveled head to ripening fruit. Really, an awesome shot.
Anyway, as I stood there snapping away, I heard a plaintive "Mew?" from beside my feet. I look down and who do I see?
Bustopher "2x4" Jones!
Insistently begging to be petted. Behold his charm!
He certainly is a handsome fellow!
And there's so much of him to love! Note the copious fat roll on his belly. And you can't see it, because it's a tactile thing, but his ribs are impossible to feel through the fat. I know it's not healthy, but he's not my cat, so I can think it's cute all I want.
Being a cat, he naturally feels no shame about bathing in front of others.
"Squirrel!"
Behold the mighty hunter in his natural environment!
Poised and alert, ready to strike like black lightning!
Yes, that's Bustopher "Baby Fat" Jones.
Check out all his fearful symmetry!
With his coloring and his build, I suspect he is related to Fish. They're about the same age, and they just have a similar look to their faces. It would be neat if she had a fat outdoor sibling.
Right now, I'm off to get some writing done. And maybe check to see if there's a fat black cat on my doorstep!
