Writing. And Fish.

I've once again discovered that having a novel about to come out is the single best motivator in the world. In an effort to avoid doing any work on it whatsoever, I have completely cleaned up and edited some old manuscripts, submitted three of them, started a couple of new stories, and reorganized my painting area ( Read more... )

Ahh, the white pressure points OF DOOM. I was taking care of some relatives' cats, and one of them, an orange and white fluffball, also had the white pressure points OF DOOM. Not only that, he'd just mutter through the indignity of Bad Touch until the offender turned his/her back, then he'd SCREECH and fly at their hamstrings with all sharps out. Sinister little fucker.

That weird little pet (can't remember its name) out of the Dark Crystal. Phizgig? Something like that. The icon is of it complaining about being told to stay behind. Very loudly.

It's Fizzgig from The Dark Crystal. I'm not sure who icon'd it originally, but--

Wait a minute. If you didn't know that, either your parents disapproved highly of Jim Henson, or you're like a decade younger than me...

:feels bones creak:

Oh no problem. :whew: Thank goodness, I've been feeling far too obsolete lately. I just started working at Borders, where I recently heard one of my (clearly FAR younger) coworkers ask, "What are ThunderCats?" I swear, I felt another gray hair sprout.

OMG Thundercats!!! *squeee* I took a bunch of SCs of Thundercats a while ago to do icons with but haven't gotten around to them yet. That and G-Force (Battle of the Planets)

Many of my friends are much younger and it makes me feel ancient when I talk about "classic" shows and they've never heard of them or they know them from reruns of reruns
