The difference between heaven and hell
This was given to me a very long time ago.
A man dreamed he was given the opportunity to look into both Heaven and Hell. He first looked into Hell. There, he saw a great banquet laid out on a table with no end. Souls were seated on benches along the table. Each had one arm chained to the bench on which they sat, and the other chained to a spoon with a four-foot handle. No one ate, because no one could figure out how. All the souls stared longingly at the food and suffered their hunger.
The man then looked into Heaven. There, he saw exactly the same scene...an endless table with a great banquet laid out upon it, and souls seated at the table, with one arm chained to the bench on which they sat, and the other arm chained to a spoon with a four-foot-long handle. In Heaven, however, everyone was eating...
...because everyone was feeding each other.
