My stories!!
The rules said it had to be 70 words long,(too damed short) a new twist to an old story; rewriting a scene. They're supposed to be funny... all 3...

I chose the first one for the contest.

A new twist to an old story: Don Quijote by Miguel de Cervantes, La Celestina by Fernando Rojas

Thanks
lol, they're geeky-funny, I guess, I know a lot of people won't get the lord of the flies one if they didn't read it or remember that particular scene in the book.
In that scene, Simon hallucinates and the pig's head says stuff like " You;re a silly little boy, don't you agree? A silly, ignorant little boy..." and he threatens him. The kid dies later, I don't remember exactly how, I think he's pushed off the edge of a cliff... I read that in 10th grade, I take it you've read it, too... it's one of those high school "they-make-you-read-it" classics...

The Quijote one is because Q likes this whorish lady, yet in his eyes, she's a beautiful maiden... Celestina is a really smart old prostitute, I think that has a chance of winning because 2 of the judges (Eng professors there) are married to Span profs... so it migh appeal to them. I hope.

I want 25 dollars...
LOL

yeah, i actually didn't know they were supposed to be funny because i somehow overlooked when you said they were supposed to be, and i didn't know that until i re-read your entry(after i posted a response) to make sure they were supposed to be, so i could be sure i didn't mistakingly laugh...

yeah he gets beat to death by the kids at a fire or something... at least i think so... piggy is the one who gets a rock on his head.

good luck at winning, though i don't think you need the luck, i thought the stories were funny as hell...

p.s. the address on your envelope kind of got messed up, so i can't read the whole thing, could you email me it?

It seems that my hand writing is more messed up than I thought...
sorry about that...

Poor Piggy, I liked him, too! He had ass-mar...
They're announcing the winner tomorrow, I dunno if I'll win, we'll see. If not, it's cool too. I'm not really expecting it, I hardly ever win anything... Last time I won something for something I wrote was 8th grade...

lol
it wasn't because of that, i took the tape off on the end with the return address and it was butchered...

i liked piggy also, he was the nerdy guy who everybody hated... kind of depressing in a way that they decided to kill him...

i won a few things recently but it pisses me off because they chose the worst of my work. like in a photo contest, not only were the photos bad in the first place, but they chose the filler (the one i had to stick in to have enough peices to qualify). i'd rather never win another thing again.

p.s. my mum was asking where i'd like to go on my "senior trip" at the end of next year, and at first i said norway, maybe germany, but my mom actually said this, "how about you possibly going to puerto rico?" it shocked me and i asked why, and she said, "well didn't you get a letter from a girl who lives there?" and so i told her a bit about you, and now she is considering for me to go there because it is supposedly very cheep...

"very cheap", huh?
Wow, your mom is nice. I sent darkenedmind a letter and her mom thought I was a stalker.
And "cheap", LOL, that makes puerto rico sound like a crappy place. Though some people think so... when they don't live here or know the cool spots, it's not exactly the most cultural place in the world, but I'll defend it with all I've got...

About your work, what YOU like isn't necesarrily what the public likes, you know. At least you've won stuff.

i should have said inexpensive, or affordable, my mistake, because i don't want you to think that i look down upon PR, because from what i hear from some of my family it is a very beautiful place. from what i see of photos i cannot argue.

it surprises me that anybody even really likes my work. i always thought it was a pale imitation of my influences...

my mom asked me "is she really who you think, and not some stalker?" i said, "well, mum, i don't think so, but if she is, then i guess im willing to risk that to meet her." my mom is quite nice, and she is the only member of my family i feel close to. at first she was worried about me corrosponding with people online but i convinced her that not everybody is a stalker/pedophile.
