According to Peter Jackson, the word came down from Mark Ordesky -- an executive from New Line Cinema -- last week. Mr. Ordesky telephoned to inform Peter that he and Fran Walsh (and it's safe to assume Phillipa Boyens) will not be involved in the planned making of The Hobbit or the prequel to Lord of the Rings. Weta, however, may still be doing the special effects.
