halloween is one of the best times of the year. but sometimes it's a pain in my ass. at work, we all dress up and our departments divide into teams to carve pumpkins, and engage in a fierce battle to see who's pumpkin is deemed to be the best. my team decided to go with a Hellraiser theme, which i thought was awesome. and we're all plotting and planning and then everyone simultaneously turns to me and says it's my job to carve the damned thing into a pinhead face. WHAAA? ok, everyone knows i'm the one who does the painting and drawing and all that other stuff outside of work but i have never in my life whittled a pumpkin. how the fuck am i supposed to go about doing that? i've sculpted before, but never with a pumpkin.
and in the mean time, i'm also supposed to be making my halloween outfit. a group of us decided to dress up as mario bros characters and i'm going as the toadstool guy. i've got most of my little mushroom hat done, but i am not sure how it's going to actually work. philip and i went a little bugshit on it and the fucking thing is like 3 feet across. i'm imagining not being able to go through doors and all kinds of technical difficulties so it should be all kinds of fun.
so is anyone else doing anything fun?
